Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Manager to join our growing team and work across fashion, beauty and lifestyle accounts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media and content, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to stay ahead of trends. This role requires experience in content creation, video editing, influencer marketing, and a keen understanding of social media tools and trends. The Social Media Manager will oversee the development and execution of social media strategies to drive brand engagement, growth, and visibility across platforms like Instagram, TikTok and other key platforms while maintaining excellent relationships with clients and brand partners.
Main Responsibilities:
Account Management:
Content Creation & Strategy: Plan and develop engaging social media content, including posts, captions, images, and videos, while staying ahead of social and cultural trends. Build and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely, relevant, and impactful posts across all platforms.
Content Editing: Edit and produce high-quality videos, graphics, and written content, ensuring everything aligns with brand guidelines, engages audiences, and is optimized for platform-specific requirements. Create original posts or repurpose existing content to reflect current trends and messaging.
Content Posting: Oversee the scheduling and publishing of day-to-day content, ensuring a consistent and timely posting cadence across all social platforms.
Performance Monitoring: Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics, such as reach, engagement, and shareability. Use insights to refine strategies and optimize content for better performance.
Content Calendar Management: Plan and execute the weekly and monthly content calendar to meet client objectives. Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external partners to align content with broader marketing goals.
Oversee and manage multiple client accounts: Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of different accounts, ensuring each maintains a consistent voice, aligns with each brand goals
Community Management: Actively monitor and engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, professional, and brand-aligned manner. Work collaboratively with customer service teams to respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner. Address negative feedback or issues promptly to maintain a positive brand image.
Influencer Marketing: Lead the development and execution of influencer and gifting campaigns, creating a roster of brand-aligned content creators and ambassadors. Source, recruit, and onboard new influencer talent.
Team Management: Manage and oversee freelancers and agency stakeholders that support the operation of client accounts, content creation and social media related operations.
Agency Marketing :
Develop and implement the agency's social media strategy to enhance its online presence and reputation.
Manage and oversee the agency's social media accounts, driving growth through innovative content creation, strategic planning, and consistent execution.
Collaborate with the internal team to create compelling case studies, share updates, and promote agency achievements to potential and existing clients.
New Business :
Support new business development by contributing to brainstorming sessions, creating mock-up content, drafting proposals, and conducting research for pitches.
Identify and share potential new business opportunities through your network or by attending relevant events and networking opportunities.
Represent the agency at key industry events, including influencer activations, Meta, TikTok, and Google workshops, fashion weeks, and other relevant occasions, to expand skills, network, and industry exposure.
Facilitate meetings and introductions that could generate new client relationships for the agency, with opportunities for referral bonuses.
Requirements:
Experience in social media management, ideally in an agency or in-house role managing multiple client accounts in fashion, fitness, or beauty industries.
Strong organizational and project management skills to handle diverse responsibilities, such as content creation, calendar planning, and team oversight, while ensuring timely delivery of results.
Thrives in an outcome-driven startup environment, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution to achieve goals. Experience in planning and executing influencer and gifting campaigns, with a proven ability to source, recruit, and manage influencer partnerships.
Deep knowledge of the social media landscape and audiences, both in platform growth and the creator ecosystem.
Analytical capabilities to set up reporting, analysing and drawing insights from marketing and social media analytics.
Strong project management skills from inception to completion, anticipating any roadblocks along the way
Creative thinking skills and ability to push others to think outside the box to raise the bar on socials and beyond
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hands-on experience with Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms. Strong awareness of current social media trends and the tools necessary to optimize content creation and engagement.
Ability to track key metrics, analyse performance, and adapt strategies based on insights.
